The residents
The dormitory is home to both Danish and international students who are on exchange or taking their entire programme in Aarhus. All social initiatives at the dormitory are open for everyone to join and it is a good way to get to know people. There will always be someone with a smile and time for a chat.
The apartments
If you are offered a ground floor apartment, you have a small garden that you share with your roommate.There are two different apartment types.
Apartment type 1: You move in alone. Here you share the kitchen, bathroom and hallway with another person. Moving in requires that you are studying. (Apartment type I is shown on the floor plan).
Apartment type 2: You move in as a couple. Here, you have a combined kitchen and living room and a separate bedroom and bathroom. Moving in requires that at least one of you is studying. It is possible to sign up for a shared apartment as a single person as well, however, preference is given to 2-person applications. (Apartment type II is shown on the floor plan).
The dormitory's common house has a communal kitchen which can be used, a laundry room and a bar that can be rented by residents.
The surroundings
The dormitory is located in Skejby, approx. 4 km from Aarhus University and 5 km from the city centre (all within cycling distance) It lies in lovely, quiet surroundings with nature all around. Furthermore, the dormitory is 200m from the Skejby centre where you will find Føtex, a dentist, Matas, a doctor, a pharmacy, a bicycle shop and more. Ikea, Silvan, Jysk and Skejby University Hospital are also in close proximity.
